International Convention on Foreign Trade, Mar del Plata

PREVIOUS EDITIONS:

This event pursues the work and the previous editions of CONICE in Mexico and Colombia which, always focusing on foreign trade, have provided training for more than 5 thousand students, graduated students, and businessmen of the whole continent. In the following, find a brief review of the previous editions::

Veracruz. 2003


27 States of the Mexican Republic and the Federal District were involved. Guanajuato was the State with the higher number of attendants (447), followed by the State of Mexico with 284, and D.F. with 266. Besides, more than 128 state and private universities of the whole country were present, as well as 26 Foreign Trade experts, who delivered lectures and high standard workshops

Acapulco. 2004

 

30 States of the Mexican Republic and the Federal District were involved. The State of Mexico was the one with
the higher number of attendants (610), followed by D.F. with 452 and the State of Hidalgo with 349. All of them assisted to lectures and high standard workshops delivered by 24 Foreign Trade experts. Likewise, 142 state
and private universities of the country were present in the event. There were also 20 lecturers in the trade fair.
As regards to official authorities, the Governor of the State of Guerrero, and the Governor of the State of Hidalgo and Coahuila also attended the event .

Saltillo Coahuila. 2005

 

31 States of the Mexican Republic and the Federal District were involved. The State of Mexico was the one with the higher number of attendants (410), followed by the Federal District with 352 and the State of Nuevo Leon with 210. Besides, more than 160 state and private universities of the whole country attended the event.

As regards to Business, some businessmen participated in the event as lecturers, as, for instance, Mr. Carlos Slim Domit (Chairman of Consejo Telmex and Grupo Carso), Engineer Javier Prieto de la Fuente (Vice Chairman
of Cemex), the Ambassador of Japan and the ex-Ambassador of Mexico before the European Union, among others. As regards to official authorities, the Governor of the State of Coahuila (Mr. Enrique Martinez)
also participated.

Cancún. 2006

 

12 States of the Mexican Republic and the Federal District were involved, as well as 57 state and private universities of the whole country and 10 Foreign Trade Experts, who offered lectures and high standard workshops. 

The event focused on the area and the business with Latin America with advisors of Argentina and Ecuador.

Veracruz. 2006

9 States of the Mexican Republic and the Federal District participated, as well as 128 state and private universities of the whole country, and 8 Foreign Trade Experts who held lectures and high standard workshops. There were also 20 lecturers in the trade fair.
Some of the companies that attended the event were: Telmex, Telcel, IBM, Casa Cuervo, Expansion, IDC, International Buffet, AJR Consultores, Bimbo, General Motors GM, Coca Cola, Grupo Modelo, Consorcio ARA, Warner Lambert, Pfizer and Universities.

Colombia 2006

 

The Conference, which was organized by Global Inter-Business and FICOMEXT Colombia, took place in the city
of Medellin. There was a business exhibition in which products and services were offered. Besides, important international conferences were held by 15 prestigious lecturers. It created the meeting platform for Colombian
and Mexican Professionals and Students to foster tourism and business. One of the aims of the event
was to give way to the economic and cultural exchange between Colombia and Mexico.
